Change: It starts with me

Life is a journey in which one often faces lot of hardships. These hardships sometimes changes the person by making a great impact on his or her life. Such experiences gives a person an opportunity to understand what life is. Accordingly, change is defined as the act or an instance of making difference to something or to give a different course or direction to someone by means of alteration or modification. For me, change is a process that effect transformation, becoming different as time passes by, and these changes generate new experience throughout your life. Change can be a good thing when you have control over it but it can also be bad when it is forced on you and you have no control of it. Everyone had experienced change and will experience many more in the future because change is a natural part of life, and the only thing that is constant in this world. Change affects everything, from small things that touch everybody’s life, like a new friend, to big things that affect the community, like changes in technology.
People everywhere go through various experiences in their whole lives. Every experience affects a person’s journey in life in some ways. Our voyage through life involves a series of changes, some major and many minor. Change has always been a part of everyone’s life, although some people try to resist change and as a result get crushed by it. There are several types of changes that one can experience in their life, these include physical, geographical, health, social changes, etc. One person cannot live their life without experiencing one or more of the changes. When you mature with age, your attitude towards life changes, your physical appearance changes, your brain capacity changes, and nothing you do can inhibit it from happening. Therefore some changes are inevitable or you cannot predict or it is unexpected when it will happen to us.

With all these changes that are happening everywhere, the people are the group of actors making these changes possible, and the roles I play is predictable and expectable. Every simple thing that changes me is part of a greater change in the place I lived. Consequently, all these changes starts with me.

My Dream My Future

When I was a child, my teachers and parents said to me, ‘people who have no dreams of the future will not fly far away’. Because of those inspiring words from my parents and teachers, I tried to make inspired and do what I can do to reach my goals in life.
Some people may talk about me because in my age I have no idea where I want to go from high school. I on the other hand, have most of my future already planned out based off of goals, hopes, and dreams. Knowing what I want to do with my life relieves a lot of stress and worry. I have no idea where I’m going to go, but at least I know how I want to get there. I know my college goals, how I want my lifestyle to be and what I want to do with my free time. I planned in my future that first, I will study harder and I want to pursue my dream to become a Medical Technologist. And after my studies I would like to build a laboratory for those patients or ordinary people who wants to know what are they want to know inside their bodies like disease. Now, time to talk about my lifestyle. Being so busy with all this school and trying to pay for it will really affect my life. I will not have time making a family, not like I really want one anyway. That would just get in the way, and make a tight budget tighter. Even after I finish school I will be too occupied with work. I’m so set on success that even marriage sounds like it would be in the way. I just don’t have the responsibility to manage that. Looks like a bachelorette life for me! Another thing about my future life is I’m in high hopes I’ll have a good job. That will get me a decent home, money to spend on traveling, or other things I’d want to do to keep myself happy. I just don’t want to ever get too lonely. Last thing about my future is what I’m going to do in my spare time. One hobby I have is writing, like I said earlier. Writing for me is like documenting all the important times in my life worth remembering and how I feel about them. If I get a degree in that, it’d be even better because I could have a job doing something I do all the time anyway. I really want to travel a lot when I get older too.

I will try my best to do my dream job in the future, and if I fail or I have problems with my studies, I will keep on dreaming to overcome the problem and keep believing I will have a good life in the future. So that’s what I want my life to be like all wrapped up, I want to reach my goals in college, live my dream lifestyle, and keep up with the hobbies and pastimes I have always loved. A spontaneous, yet laid back life is perfect for me. Do you know what you want to do with your life? Or did you, and did it turn out as you had hoped or expected?

2015 Kannawidan Ylocos Festival

Ilocos Sur, as a province, has its rich and spectacular cultures and traditions that the Ilocanos have and must be proud of. And as an annual festivity, the Local Government of Ilocos Sur has arranged an activity that would exhibit and promote products of ours and precious cultures of Ilocanos to entice and invite tourists to come and visit Ilocos which is now called the “Kannawidan Ylocos Festival.” Kannawidan Ylocos Festival is a week-long bustle of happiness for local and foreign visitors as more entertaining events are included in the festival. Also, the festivity showcases the different products of the different provinces which is called the “OTOP” or the “One Town, One Product.”
The festival was established and launched in 2008 and is already the leading festival of Ilocos Sur under the leadership of then Governor Ryan Singson to honor the 197th foundation day of Ilocos Sur as separate province through the approval of a Spanish Royal Decree on February 2, 1818. This 2015, Ilocos Sur celebrates Kannawidan on its 197th Celebration as a separate province from Ylocos. This festival showcases different products like foods, furniture, and the pinakaka-ibang produkto. But this is not the only purpose of this festival yet it discovers talents.
This Festival aims to create awareness on the preservation of the province’s rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions, and a showcase of the different agricultural and industry products.
